TAC Combines TechValley & Adega Airport Cyber Ranges into One Training Environment

A behind-the-scenes look at the next evolution of TAC’s cyber training spaces.

Big changes are happening at TheLink. TAC’s two cyber ranges, TechValley and the Adega Airport Cyber Range, are officially combined. This unification isn’t just about moving equipment; it’s about creating a seamless, training experience for industrial cybersecurity professionals.

Discover more exciting updates, from remote training capabilities to our latest cyber range installations below:

From Disjointed to Unified

Before, training at TAC meant moving between two different rooms, plugging and unplugging hardware and software, and working in separate environments for different sectors.

Now, everything lives in one integrated space. The city environment sits on one side, the airport environment on the other, with everything connected and ready to go. “You come into this room, you stay in this room. The software sits here. You sit here. It’s a better experience.”

Expanding the Industrial Frontier: Rail Joins the Range

The unification also marks the introduction of TAC’s Rail Systems installation, a permanent addition that expands our capabilities to include scenarios for defending and hacking rail infrastructure.

This opens the door for larger, more dynamic events in 2026, giving trainees an unparalleled opportunity to engage in multi-sector defense simulations.

Global Access to Hands-On Training

By modernizing our infrastructure with support from a state grant, TAC now has the capability to connect up to 48 simultaneous students to the environment, even remotely.

“With Raspberry Pi systems, live camera feeds, and integrated slide presentations, participants can follow along from anywhere in the world. It’s like a live webinar. You learn about something, then two minutes later, you try it.”

Why This Matters

TAC is leading the charge in industrial cybersecurity training. This is more than just a construction update, it’s a leap forward in how the cyber workforce trains for Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) defense. TAC’s combined cyber range now delivers:

  • Seamless, all-in-one access to multiple critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Live, remote training capabilities for students worldwide.
  • Integrated attack-and-defense simulations across city, airport, and rail systems.
  • A professional-grade environment designed to match the complexity of real-world threats.

At TAC, our mission is clear: equip the cyber workforce with the tools, training, and environments they need to defend the infrastructure we all rely on.

Cybersecurity today demands hands-on experience defending both digital networks and the physical systems they control. TAC’s integrated TechValley and Adega Airport Cyber Ranges offer unmatched, immersive training across multiple critical infrastructure sectors.

Whether you’re preparing to defend airports, smart cities, rail systems, or live industrial environments, TAC equips students, professionals, and warfighters with the real-world skills and experience needed to protect the infrastructure that powers our world.
