Matthew Kemph

VP of Mission Partnerships at IQT

Matthew (Matt) Kemph is an accomplished professional with a rich technology, national security, and venture capital background. As the Vice President of Mission Partnerships at IQT, he leverages his 18 years of experience to enhance outreach, account activities, and the integration of IQT portfolio company innovations within the Intelligence Community.


Kemph’s career began in 2003 at Nike’s Headquarters in Oregon, contributing to the Business-to-Business Creative Side Development Team. In 2005, he joined the National Security Agency’s digital network analyst development program, eventually becoming a program manager. He was pivotal in managing multiple programs, spearheading strategic alignment efforts, and chairing a working group.
From 2011 to 2013, Kemph led the Committee of Foreign Investments in the United States (CFIUS) Risk Management Team within the Department of Defense’s Chief Information Office at the Pentagon. He returned to the NSA in 2013 as a Platform Manager for the Commercial Engagement Center, where he worked closely with commercial entities to strengthen national security. Kemph is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded two startups: a health engagement platform in 2009 and a social sports company in 2010, which he sold in 2019.


Kemph holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from Auburn University, a master’s in network security from Capitol Technology University, and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. Kemph was also a member of Auburn’s cross country and track team.
