The Trusted Partner for IT/OT Cybersecurity Training

Get a firsthand look inside TheLink with a walkthrough led by TC Hoot, TAC’s VP of Contracts, and see why the TAC Training Hub is recognized as the leading destination for OT and industrial cybersecurity training.

TAC is an award-winning technology and cybersecurity hub, trusted to train everyone from industry professionals to the warfighter. Our approach is simple: teams learn best by doing.

That’s why every TAC training program blends theory with hands-on practice, giving participants the chance to not just understand cybersecurity concepts but to actively apply them.

From ports to power grids, trainees gain experience in how to attack, defend, and protect the industrial control systems (ICS) that keep critical infrastructure running.

TechValley: An Unmatched Environment for Realistic Cybersecurity Training

Sessions on Tech Valley Cyber Range equip cyber professionals and students with the skills to identify, attack, and defend operational technology environments, where industrial control systems meet modern IT networks. Through realistic scenarios and threat emulation exercises, participants gain a deep understanding of adversary tactics, ICS protocols, IT/OT convergence risks, and incident response in high-stakes environments.

Whether you’re defending a water plant or simulating a substation breach, TechValley offers a safe yet dynamic space to sharpen your technical skills, strategic thinking, and cyber resilience.

Ideal for:
Red, blue, and purple teams | SOC analysts | OT engineers | Cybersecurity students | Defense and critical infrastructure operators

TechValley’s environment simulates a real city and features an array of advanced elements, including:

  • City-Wide Surveillance: Comprehensive monitoring across the entire city.
  • Functional Ferris Wheel: A fully operational amusement ride.
  • Live Lake: A dynamic water feature that fills and drains.
  • Live Electrical Grid: Provides 24 volts of power throughout the city.
  • Self-Driving Beltway: Automated transportation system.
  • Fully Functional Traffic Lights and Street Signs: Realistic urban traffic management.
  • Sewage Lines: Simulated waste management system.

All these services are powered by programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and can be managed in real-time from a public works cart. This cart, connected through extensible expansion cables, includes a human-machine interface touch screen for service monitoring and control. Power can be adjusted on a per-parcel or neighborhood basis, while sewage and lake controls can be activated manually or through automated checks.

New Virtual Training Now Available: Our latest cyber range upgrade lets you train from anywhere now with real-time visibility into live activity from the Tech Valley Cyber Range.

Adega Airport Cyber Range: The Ultimate Training Ground for Industrial Cyber Security

The Adega Airport Cyber Range is the latest and most expansive environment developed by TAC for industrial cybersecurity training. Purpose-built to mirror the complexity of real-world aviation and critical infrastructure systems, Adega provides cyber teams with a highly immersive training ground to:

  • Experience the operational risks of aviation and critical infrastructure.
  • Practice defending against ICS threats in real time.
  • Explore vulnerabilities unique to large-scale, interconnected environments.

Designed to expose and address the often-misunderstood risks of industrial control systems in modern society, Adega gives trainees an unparalleled opportunity to prepare for the challenges of securing critical infrastructure.

Makerspace: Where Innovation Meets Application

The Makerspace at TheLink is a creative environment where trainees and teams can innovate, prototype, and test solutions. It’s where hands-on experimentation meets practical application, an essential bridge between training and real-world problem-solving.

OT BoOTcamp: Train on Real Industrial Equipment. Defend Against Real Cyber Threats.

TAC’s OT BoOTcamp is a foundational, hands-on course designed to equip security professionals with the skills needed to identify, evaluate, and mitigate the unique cybersecurity risks inherent to Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS).

Over the course of five days, participants dive into fundamental OT concepts while bridging the critical gap between IT and OT in today’s workforce. Day 1 begins in the Food and Agriculture sector, where trainees explore potential threats to major food supply lines and learn how OT security can prepare for and defend against these devastating attacks. The curriculum then moves through other high-priority sectors such as Chemical, Water, and Nuclear, with every scenario mapped to real-world threats and real outcomes.

By the end of OT BoOTcamp, participants will be able to:

  • Understand OT systems and their unique security challenges.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and threats in critical environments.
  • Confidently execute defense strategies to protect essential infrastructure.

From immersive environments to hands-on equipment and real teamwork, this course is shaping the next generation of cyber defenders. It’s not just a course, it’s the starting point for building resilience in the systems that power our world.

At TAC, our mission is simple: to equip the cyber workforce with hands-on, industrial training environments that prepare teams for the complex threats of tomorrow. From immersive cyber ranges to real-world OT scenarios, our training experiences are designed to build confidence, skills, and resilience in every participant.
