Karan Sondhi is the Global Public Sector CTO at CrowdStrike, where he leads strategy for sovereign deployments, compliance certifications, and cyber operations across defense, intelligence, and civilian markets worldwide. He drives initiatives such as IL5 and FedRAMP expansion, public sector AI adoption, and global government partnerships—positioning CrowdStrike as a strategic alternative to legacy platforms.
Previously, he was CTO for Microsoft’s Federal Defense business, spearheading cloud architecture for the Department of Defense’s JEDI and JWCC programs Earlier, Karan spent more than a decade at the Central Intelligence Agency as a Senior Technologist, where he built blockchain-based systems for mission ops, modernized cybersecurity programs, and helped shape U.S. national cyber strategy
