Ms. Fox Ortiz is the Division Chief for Mission Support at the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) DoD-Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Collaborative Information Sharing Environment (DCISE). In this role, she is responsible for DIB partner engagement activities and cybersecurity capabilities for a public-private partnership supporting over 1,300 defense contractors.
She also oversees organizational readiness, quality control and assurance, and training, ensuring DCISE maintains CMMI Level 3 compliance. Ms. Ortiz has driven improvements and innovations resulting in increased collaboration, insight, and action for both the DIB and the DoD, strengthening the defense of DoD data residing in DIB networks.
Before joining DC3 in 2018, Ms. Ortiz retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service as a Senior Chief Information Systems Technician. During her military career, she served in various roles including Communication Chief, Information System Security Manager, and Blue Team Lead at sea and ashore.
She holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Organizational Management, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She also holds numerous SANS certifications.
Ms. Ortiz lives in Maryland with her husband and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and volunteering with the Anne Arundel County Watershed Academy and Be My Eyes.
