My experience as a federal project manager on critical infrastructure projects will serve to formulate core material and doctrine to enhance the utilization of strategic/tactical communication systems in the emergency operation realm; generation of operational tools, technical documents, working with industry partners and stakeholders.
Mr. Douglas Lindsey, Jr is a Bachelor of Arts graduate of Saint Augustine’s University and University of Maryland where he earned a post graduate degree in Homeland Security. He gained his first license in 1976 as a novice class FCC amateur radio operator and was a member of civil defense communications.
Doug worked with several telecommunication systems manufacturers in the Research Triangle Park region, while in college and was also a contractor with many Department of Defense projects over the years. He currently holds FCC General Radio Operators License with RADAR endorsement, FCC Extra Class Amateur Radio, FCC Maritime License and a member of the United States Military Auxiliary Radio System where he served as the Section Emergency Coordinator for Region Three.
Critical infrastructure operations supporting disaster recovery during many recent national emergencies. Doug is a retired career professional firefighter/paramedic and an emergency management consultant who also had many years of service with the National Disaster Medical Assistance Team, certified FEMA Emergency Management Professional, as a communications commander. In 2019, Doug leads his company SMC Tactical Communications to the finals of the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Services “Under Fire” Response Innovation Showdown, in the category of remote operated vehicles.
