Brian Stites

Vice President, Strategic Initiatives – Autonomy, AI, Cyber, Space

Brian Stites is the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives at MAG Aerospace. His focus is capability identification, introduction, demonstration, production, and lifecycle sustainment for needle-moving solutions in emerging technology sectors. 

In the Navy, Brian completed eight deployments on submarines and achieved certifications as a nuclear engineer and a nuclear quality assurance officer. He then transitioned to the Information Warfare Community and was on the executive team for the activation of U.S. Fleet Cyber Command (Navy) and then the standup of U.S. Cyber Command (COCOM). Brian successfully completed two command tours (ONR and USCYBERCOM) and retired from service in 2018.  

In his civilian roles, Brian was the Senior Manager for the Defensive Cyber Operations portfolio and then the Chief Architect for the Cyber Resiliency Business Unit at Raytheon Intelligence and Information Services. Brian has technology start-up, business consulting, organizational turn- around, P&L management, and technical consultation in his professional background. Brian is a 1996 graduate of the United States Naval Academy where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. Brian holds an M.A. from Georgetown University in National Security Studies and International Economics & Security at Oxford University.
