Brian Schultz

Mr. Brian Schultz is a nationally recognized cybersecurity industry leader, expert, author, and speaker having served as a three-term board member of Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) International, two-term President of the ISSA Northern Virginia Chapter, and nine years on the (ISC)² North America Advisory Board. Throughout his career he has sought, analyzed, and actualized disruptive and innovative cyber technologies from Silicon Valley, Maryland incubator community, Dulles Technical Corridor, National Laboratories, and Universities.


Brian Schultz is the Founder and Executive Cyber Advisor at CyberAlphas, LLC. For 25+ years he led large cyber architecture and advisory services teams at the Battelle Memorial Institute, Nortel Networks, and Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting (NKA Accenture) to defend against advance persistent threat (APT) adversaries of the DNI, NSA, CIA, FBI, DoD, DHS, NRC, NASA, USHOR, US Treasury, EXIM Bank, and the Fortune 500. Recipient of the DNI CIO Special Commendation, Cyber Leadership, Cyber Risk Management Tiger Team, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 Cyber Risk Management. While at Gartner as a Senior Director, Supply Chain Cybersecurity, served over 200+ Forbes Global 2000 supply chain leaders to build cyber resilient supply chains, operational technology (OT) environments, and product security (third party risk management, manufacturing, intellectual property (IP); logistics, product provenance; hardware bill of materials (HBOM) embedded systems; firmware; and software bill of materials (SBOM)).


Mr. Schultz holds an MBA from George Washington University, BBA from James Madison University, and several cybersecurity professional certifications: CISSP, ISSMP, ISSAP, CISM, CISA, and NSA-IAM. He is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), FBI InfraGard and the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
